SERVE 1P4
At the core of 1 Peter 4 we see a call to make outreach and service a core passion of all our lives.
Our Elders, along with Pastor Matthew Hippely, consider the words in of this text to align directly with South Sode's vision statement to "Seek the Welfare of the City" and our hearts desperately desire to be a people marked by this type of service.
Every year we mobilize a growing number of disciples in dynamic, high-impact outreach initiatives all across Fayette County. The goal is always to spread hope, care for the suffering, aid in the support of the needy, and cooperate and partner with other outreach organizations in their localized efforts.
At South Side, our culture is bold and passionate, and we are passionate about going to the people of this community and not just being a slave to the numbers in our building. We believe the right way can be messy, the right way is to focus on Jesus, the right way is to teach the Great Commission, and to always be a people that celebrates what God is doing even the most remote places of this community.
SERVE 1P4 is designed to encompass and make opportunities to demonstrate the tangible love of Jesus, and to continue to build an ever-growing network of partnerships with other Fayette-based organizations along the way.
