“The goal of parenting isn’t to create perfect kids. It’s to point our kids to the perfect God.”

Partnering with Parents

We are eager to collaborate with parents to nurture their children's spiritual growth and understanding of Christian values. By working together, we aim to create a supportive environment that reinforces the teachings of scripture at both church and home. Through joint activities, resources, and open communication, the church and parents will help guide children in their journey of faith. This partnership seeks to engage children in meaningful ways, ensuring that faith becomes a central part of their daily lives. By fostering a sense of community, we hope to inspire children to live out Christian principles with confidence and joy.

About us

Our volunteer children's church team is dedicated to creating a nurturing and engaging environment where young minds can explore their faith and build a strong spiritual foundation. We aim to inspire children through interactive lessons, creative activities, and meaningful connections. Our goal is to foster a sense of community and support. We dream to help each child grow in their relationship with God and one another while also helping guardians take the lead in their child's Christian Walk.

Sunday Morning

Every Sunday morning, we offer Nursery all the way up to 5th grade. Kids will enjoy a fun, safe, and engaging environment where they will learn about God's personality and heart. They will partake in amazing experiences that will involve crafts, games, music, scripture, and so much more. Check in starts at 9:45! Print you and your child a check in tag from our South Side KDZ wall. If needed, ask our amazing volunteers for assistance. I hope to see you there!!

Security

Security is a huge priority to the volunteers and staff at South Side. We enforce a few things to create a secure and nurturing environment. Our check in system is at the forefront of protecting every child within our care. The Check In system requires the child to wear a name tag with contact information, allergies, and a security code. The check in system provides a security code for the parents that matches the child's name tag. This ensures that the only person picking up the child is the person with the matching security code. Along with the check in system, we have background checked volunteers, established exits and shelters, planned scenarios, and a security team. All of these security measures are there to protect your child!

Events

South Side KDZ ministry offer a few events for kids. Every quarter we offer a family reading night. These events are purposed to support kids with their journey in knowing Christ. These events are also a resource for parents to learn new literacy and scripture-supported techniques that can be incorporated into any household. The events focus on connecting guardians with their children while also tackling a literacy-based need within our community. The other consistent event we currently support is our parent celebrations. These events are focused on parents meeting our volunteers and celebrating the effort put into raising children up in the lord. These events hope to build trust, support, and encouragement. While those are the consistent events that South Side KDZ currently offer, there are other events we are involved with in the community. Check out the events posted below or go check out our Instagram and Facebook page to see dates and times! We hope to see you there!!
